EIA

1. Is the part of project management concerned with identifying though a formal written technical evaluation the likely impact (positive and negative) of a proposed development or activity on the natural and man-made environment. A process whereby the assessment is used in reaching a consensus on acceptable levels of change, defining the means by which agreed standards of operation and procedures to ensure these objectives are achieved and maintained. 2. A formal written, technical evaluation of potential effects on the environment (atmosphere, water, land, plants and animals) or a particular event or activity. [11]
